On May 5th I was guest host on Reclaiming Your Self Women Unedited and Engaged and the topic of discussion was Standing Alone. I knew going into the conversation with the two amazing women, Ella-jean Schatzmann and Brandi LaRochelle that standing alone and being alone are two very different states of being and it was as we allowed ourselves to unfold in the conversation that a new level of understanding took shape.
When I feel alone it is because I am disconnected from my Self, that I am not present to my Self and that it has nothing to do with the company that I am with.Shazam…another green dot moment! I choose to feel alone when I choose to be disconnected from my Self. During the conversation it was mentioned that one of the women often felt alone while being with lots of people yet now being in her own company and present to herself she no longer feels alone. So the question I put to myself is am I willing to show up no matter where I am or who I’m with? Am I willing to stay present to what moves inside of me and be willing to live my life out loud all the time? This does not mean I have to engage in conversation it means I get to always tell my self the truth of what is moving inside of me.
I stand alone in my truth, you stand alone in your truth and together we get to choose to show up in the presence of each other. It is that easy and in that I am never alone.
