Engage your Curiosity

So many people have conversations inside ourselves

So many people have conversations inside ourselves. In our head.

It’s a brilliant strategy to protect ourselves from being vulnerable in the moment especially if you are a person that freezes in a conversation. Rehearsing it in your head might help you feel more in control.

Unfortunately, the downside is it removes us from the actual conversation. Instead we tend to run the script, listening for the words we ‘imagined’ in our pre-conversation and steering the conversation to the outcome imagined.

This sometimes results in the other person not feeling heard and they may get defensive, which creates a defensive reaction in you.

There is another way.
Consider capturing your so you won’t forget in the moment, and letting go of how and where the conversation will go.

Take a breath… perhaps a water breath to invite yourself to be in flow.

Silence is often used as a brilliant strategy to protect your vulnerability.

In the moment, it might feel like it’s the best way to avoid an argument. However, over time, the more you remain silent the bigger the problem becomes.

Often this results in a breakdown in communication and in your relationship.

In the moment it might feel scary… with all kinds of sensory cues firing off in your body. There is a way to break the silence, and discover your vulnerability is your greatest strength.

There are things you can do to help break the cycle of silence as a weapon and foster greater communication and connection with the people in your world.

When you become too focussed on an outcome you can lose sight what else is around you.

Focus is wonderful to enhance your determination.

It can also cause you to lose sight of everything else around you.

Something meant to be joyful becomes another thing to do… in other words WORK

Consider looking up every now and then as a way to remember the joy of journey.
