We are told to engage, we engage in battle, we engage in conversation, we engage with one another… do we engage with ourselves? I’ve been using that word a lot lately, engaging… now as I sit here wondering what does it really mean? I tell people that they need to engage to move forward and it just hit me, it’s not about engaging with others as much as I give mySelf permission to engage with mySelf.

When I read a blog and something fires off inside of me or I am moved by something someone says, I have a choice I can ‘engage’ with mySelf in that moment to explore something new about mySelf or I can choose to dismiss it as something trivial. I learned something profound, no, I discovered something profound this past week-end. I AM THE WAVE. The essence of who I am IS the wave. Do you get it? It’s taken me 16 months to finally understand it. I am not my body, I am the wave, my body takes those sensations moving through me and interprets it using what I have learned in my life time of experiences and my intellect then chooses if it’s good or bad, right or wrong. And it’s not any of that! When I have a ‘feeling’ an ‘emotion’ that moves through me that IS ME and in that moment I can choose to engage with mySelf or not. When I choose to engage with mySelf I become more, I expand which means my world expands. Can it get any better than this? None of this is real, all that I see and feel and smell and touch is of my creation and in a moment I can change it to be something else. In the magnificence of my near perfection I become more therefore my world becomes more.

So when I say to engage I mean engage with mySelf, with yourSelf to learn more about what you are. Life is fantastic!
