		<description>Hey beautiful lady.
I just finished chatting with a colleague, newly returned from a conference where the imporant messages were all couched in URGENCY. Hurry!! it cried...or we will be too late!! And I felt such a passionate and defiant &quot;hush&quot; rise up in me. I felt myslef calmly stand in the centre of the vortex of urgency and feel calm and that the way of urgency was counterproductive noice to the voice of teh system. I then used this metaphore to explore the question &quot;why assume that the natural rhythm of &quot;urgency&quot; is &quot;rush&quot;?.... why not find a new rhythm to urgency and not this superimposed, man-made-rush? (Does nature ever rush??)
When we are about to give birth, all systems reorganize to give priority to this urgent event. And yet, each stage moves at its own pace, it has a rhythm and an order. The urgency of birth does not seem to mean rushing, the body systems calm themselves, everything tries to align and each stage in the birthing process is a part of what is to become.
All is urgent, nothing rushed.
Indeed, when we need to rush it, to respond to an unanticipated emergency or to free the bed for the next patient we introduce additional risk into the equation.
And so, first trimester girl, I dare say, it can be urgent discovery with a natural rhythm, everything in its own time. A calm in the vortex.
